THE RESORT

Chatel sits in the heart of the Portes du Soleil, one of the largest inter-linked ski areas in the world, with over 650 km of piste.

The setting is idyllic: the village nestles on the border between France and Switzerland, in one of the most beautiful Alpine valleys. Chatel has a very good snow record but also has more than its fair share of sunshine.

Chatel is very much more than a resort, it is a community. You will soon appreciate the difference.

This is a living village and that is one of the main reasons that we love it here so much. The local people are friendly and, because the restaurants, shops and bars cater for the locals as well as visitors, the prices are lower than many other resorts.

There is also plenty to do when you are not skiing, with two cinemas, a 10 pin bowling alley, an open-air ice skating rink, an open-air Salto trampoline, an all year bob luge and over 25 bars and restaurants to choose from!
